Sponsored walk 2026

What a fabulous walk we had! The weather, and the company, were superb and the wildlife turned out in force! Just as to name a few, we saw 8 species of butterfly (peacock, brimstone, orange tip, speckled wood, small copper, holly blue, green veined white and comma), plus a Beautiful Demoiselle damselfly. The conversations ranged very widely, from mental health, beaver reintroductions, the laws around hunting with hounds, to who we should ask to be future ERA speakers!

We were serenaded by Blackcaps throughout, including during our picnic (which not everybody was able to stay for), where we were entertained by a very regal swan, also intent on having lunch!

We more than doubled out number of walkers from last year and the total raised currently stands at £1307. It is not too late to donate if you would like, on our GoFundMe page.

Thank you so much to all who came and walked and to all who have sponsored us so far. The money will help towards funding our E.coli testing project for a further year.
