Sponsored walk for Fluidion

This walk has now been completed: a big thank you to all the walkers and to their sponsors.

On Sunday 6 April we raised over £600 to buy and use a Fluidion Alert One, a device which will allow us to supplement existing river surveys of the Rother and its tributaries with testing for bacteria, specifically E. coli. The walk followed a particularly pretty stretch of the river from Woolbeding to Stedham.

We parked in the National Trust car park at the junction of Woolbeding Lane and the A272. Then we walked down to Woolbeding Lane, over the river and into the field on the left at the Public Footpath sign.

The length of the walk, round trip, was about 5km (3 miles). Children were welcome, as were dogs on leads.
